I’ve watched the first few episodes and the series Whitechapel on BBC America is pretty awesome. From BBC America:
Is it possible that the world’s most notorious serial killer is back? As the murder rate in modern day East London rises, a team of detectives set out to solve the most famous unsolved murder case in history - Jack the Ripper. Will the team succeed where others failed 120 years ago?
What’s so great about the show is that this first Jack the Ripper story is just three episodes long. Any American show would tell the same story over 24 episodes. Mixed in with other cases. Then make the case bleed over into the second season…
So far, Whitechapel is The X-Files via Se7en which meets Silence of the Lambs.
